The DMAQG Library contains hundreds of books of interest to quilters. Books cover aspects of quilting including basic quilting techniques, quilt construction, hand and machine quilting techniques, design, embellishment, and quilt history. There is also a selection of novels with quilting related themes.
The Library is located in Building 1 of the West Des Moines Christian Church, across from the Fellowship Hall. The Library is open for approximately one-half hour before and after both the afternoon and evening Guild meetings.
The Library is open to all current Guild members. Books may be checked out for one month. Books are due and should be returned at the next Guild meeting. Books may be renewed if there is not a hold on the item.
The DMAQG Library uses TinyCat, an online catalog. The catalog allows users to search, from their home computer or phone, for books by topic, title, or author. Once you have found a book or books you are interested in, you may place a hold on the book(s). The Guild Librarians will pull your book(s) and have them ready for checkout before the meeting. Of course, you are also welcome to come in and browse the shelves!
