January: Nan Earll “Beginning Needle Turn Appliqué”
You will learn quickest easiest methods I know to: mark background, pattern and pieces, needle turn fabric, inner points, curves, outer points, overlap, and skinny stems. Skinny stems are easier than you think!

February: Joyce Franklin “Art Ala Carte”
Texture and dimension shine in this improv class.  We will also have some laces and trims for you to purchase for a small donation to the guild.

March: Carl Hentsch “Seeing Spots”
Become a skilled foundation piecer and mix flying geese and New York beauty blocks with curved piecing.

April: Liz Porter “Hunter Star with a Layer Cake”
Liz has a slick and easy way to do the usually tricky block with a layer cake.

May: Catherine Redford Wednesday’s class is “Walking Foot Quilting-Beyond the Ditch”
Learn a little bit about quilting prep and then make stitched samples of grids, matchstick quilting and spirals.

Oct: Janet Pitman
Learn about Appliqué and Embellishment from our local master of these techniques, either by machine or with wool. Purchase a kit for $10 and work on a little project during the class.

All classes are 9-4 in the fellowship room at the West Des Moines Christian Church.
