Our monthly guild meetings are at 1 p.m. and NOW AT 6:30 p.m. on the Fourth Tuesday of the month

Tracy Feldmann, Bag making tips and tricks

Learn about the tools and notions to make bag-making fun and easy, as well as the modifications and hacks you’ll want to incorporate into every bag you make. Tracy will show how to make these changes plus more. She will also share designers and sources.

Millie Kehrli

The historic collection of Mary Pemble Barton,

In this lecture, it will be discussed how historical quilts influenced Barton’s quilting and consider how we, as contemporary quilters, can draw inspiration for new work from her legacy of research.  Original antique quilts from the collection will be shown at the lectures.

Kim Eichler-Messmer is an Associate Professor of Fiber at the Kansas City Art Institute, where she has taught surface design, quilting, and natural dye since 2008. Kim is the author of “Modern Color: An Illustrated Guide to Dyeing Fabric for Modern Quilts”
