Policies for Winter Weather Cancellations

Guild activity cancellations are tied to either West Des Moines or Des Moines school weather cancellations.  

Policy for guild meetings and workshops: 

• If West Des Moines cancels school, the guild meetings and workshops will be cancelled.
• If West Des Moines schools have a two-hour delay, the guild meetings and workshops will be held. Workshops will still start at 9 AM.
• If West Des Moines schools have an early dismissal, the afternoon meeting will be held, but the evening meeting will be cancelled.

Policy for Newcomers:

• If Des Moines schools cancel or have an early dismissal, the Newcomers meeting will be cancelled.
