Thank you for all your entries to the 2016 DMAQG Quilt Show!!! Whether judged or not, your first or your fiftieth, every quilt hung in our show was special and appreciated. We had an absolutely beautiful show!!

Janet, Joyce and Peggy accepted a stipend check from AQS today. The Quilt Show would not be a success without our members support and all the people who volunteered. The guild has a contractual agreement with AQS to provide volunteer support. In return we receive a donation from AQS. This donation defrays some of our costs and allows us to put on a professional quilt show that showcases our members creativity and talent. Whether you volunteered for one shift or were at the quilt show every day — THANK YOU! It took all of us to make this event a success.
The drawing for the Raffle Quilt was held at 3:45 today. Janet Pittman drew the winning ticket. The lucky winner is Reva Reimann of DeSoto, Iowa. Reva has been contacted by phone and is absolutely thrilled to be the winner. While on the phone, she said about 15 times that she couldn’t believe she won. The Quilt Show Committee thanks everyone who purchased a raffle ticket. All the proceeds support the guild. We are all looking forward to seeing the design of the 2017 Raffle Quilt and better luck next year to all of us!
And finally, we say thank you and job very well done to Peggy & Janet and of course all of the 2016 Quilt Show Committee. It really does take a village. Already looking forward to next year Jill, Leigh and Mary are the 2017 Quilt Show Chairpersons. Girl Power at its absolute finest!!!
