is running true to form---hotter than ever! Just like the deals
at the Mall In the Hall and August Charity Auction! (Notice the
slick segue?!) Time to get geared up for the coming big
events. If you would like to help this year, I will have a
sign-up list at both July meetings for volunteers. We will
need afternoon volunteers to carry donations in to both the M-I-H and
Auction areas, as well as helpers during the Auction that evening.
Work shifts will be 2 hours, so your whole day won't be affected.
Our charity auction has a proud tradition of generous
donations to local organizations. Last year we donated over
$14,700 to American Heart Assoc., Breast Cancer Research, and
Alzheimer's Assoc. We will again be supporting these worthy
organizations. So plan your donations, finish your projects, and
cull those notions and extra fabrics! Let's make this year's
auction a success and a night of fun! See you July 28!

We have 51 quilt tops that need batting. We
purchased charitable batting from The Heart of Iowa at a reduced rate
and we are grateful for their generosity as they delivered it from
Wisconsin at no charge.
If, however, you are willing to quilt a top and provide batting we have kits with a top, backing, and binding for you.
Giving has a request of those in our guild that work on long arm sewing
machines. Please save any long side or end pieces and donate to
Community Giving. We will take pieces that are 16 inches or wider and
